About NATALIE

In 2002 I began my love of florals at a small shop, Impressions, in Orinda, California. I worked among some of the best designers in their field. I found myself shy in the background not wanting to expose my lack of experience and knowledge of florals. When the shop closed in 2005 I had learned so much and had the confidence to start my own business, Natalie’s Flora, out of my small Oakland apartment. I mainly did florals for weekly accounts: law offices, doctors’ offices, country clubs and so on. When I opened my shop Clementine in Rockridge in 2009, I really turned a corner. I expanded to doing florals for every occasion imaginable. I loved the hustle and bustle of running a shop, but I found myself not able to take as much time with my clients. It was time to move on. In 2013, I closed up shop and moved to my studio in Emeryville with the new name, belle-flower. It was a chance to focus more on events yet still be able to work with the community doing my daily orders and deliveries without all the overhead of a retail space. As a sole-proprietor I take great pride in what I do. And I do it all, from ordering the flowers, picking up the flowers, designing each and every bouquet, centerpiece, and boutonniere. I am there for each delivery and set up. I have not missed one in my 20-plus years in business. I believe strongly in having authentic bonds with my clients because I know without them I wouldn’t be able to do what I do and love. I hope to have the chance to work with each of you who have taken the time to visit my website and read this little blurb.

Warmly,

Natalie
